We See Fluff, Again

the last i mentioned about clubbing was the time i won six passes to fly club access... that was about two months ago... i had a couple friends over with us then... last month, while i was driving home through the peak hours traffic... i heard the same friend i brought to bianco on radio... it was his turn then winning 4 passes to g6... again, it was fly club access... unfortunately, we had to turn down his offer to those small opportunity to hang out and club together... the g6 slot was a friday... AY was working night shift on that night...

this fly club access is sort of a monthly event... you either win it by calling in, or get your slogan chosen online... this month, i saw that it was going to be held on a saturday again... so, what the heck... i tried my luck... AY looked like he needed to de-stress... i needed some exercise... thinking it was a little late to join the contest (i joined like four days before the event), i simply typed out a lame slogan that came to mind...

woohooo~ three days later, while i was lunching over my house md series... i got a call from some unknown number... answered the call and was told to be at bianco by 10.30pm the next evening to pick up my six tickets... wow... what are the odds of winning twice for the same contest???

so, last saturday evening... we headed down to gardens for dinner before some spinning date at the dance floor... or, in his case, a date with the booze... we reached the mall pretty late for dinner... i was starving, so we went around hunting for a restaurant with the least crowd... flying chillies was packed... then we headed to tony romas... it was crazy packed too... next to it was paddington... ohhh, and i saw AY's eyes lit up like a light bulb in the dark night sky...

paddington it was then... and it seemed that most of the time we were at gardens, paddington will be the choice for our meals... pancakes............ how can one say no to that... albeit the not so great service, the food was excellent...

after a delish dinner and some walk around killing time and getting some ingredients for the following's week long lunches... it was time to meet up with shin and his accompanying friend... thinking it wouldnt be as packed as the last round, we took our time to get into the club... surprisingly, it was so packed... there wasnt even a single table to put our glasses... but, who cares... it was free access, free flow... who am i to complain??? and the best part, shane was there... it had been so long, i actually kinda missed him... the foster daddy for my snowball...

Tears of Happiness

it was so rare to make a guy cry, regardless whether it was out of sadness or happiness... my guy, so to speak... well, i have had my share in making that happen, both ways... tears of sadness was awful... not only to the other party, it ached my heart as much i tore his apart... not something i was proud of though...

couple of days ago, i made it happen again... this time around, i was very proud to say it was tears of happiness... not mentioning that it was tough to make him genuinely smile, it was harder still to make him feel touched...

my main role at work is to make events happen... to organize events and activities for the staff... from normal boring talks to road shows to closed door sales... practically anything under the sun (provided with management approvals) that benefits the staff...

so, end of last month, i brought in maxis for a road show... great customized packages just for the staff... business talk plans with monthly rebates and added talk time... and best of all, those who sign up for the 3gb data plan actually has the privileges for unlimited data... 3g connectivity up to 3gb and exceeding bandwidth are throttled down without additional charges... it was hard for me to say no to that...

  1. he needed a new phone... he kinda smashed his old nokia "not so" smart phone into 4 pieces in our last huge argument earlier... giving him the impression that he was not getting any new phone any time soon, he made himself comfortable with an old nokia 3100, aka the "fax machine"...
  2. the price for the phone he wanted so badly was so much cheaper than the market price... all i needed was to sign up for a 24 month contract... how bad could it be??? 24 months for a device that i want (ok, more like he wants)... and unlimited data plan for something that we needed...

in exactly two weeks, our new plan was signed up... that was just last week... and the phone delivered to my office... now, that's one expensive not-that-surprising surprise awaiting him when he got home...

a day after the delivery of the new phone, i had another closed door sales for mother's day... there was luxonu for luxury handbags, rhapsody for branded watches, a wish garden for floral services, ravissante for beauty & spa and berjaya university college for cakes and pastries...

take away the rest of the vendors and focusing on watches... the first hour of the sales, i saw rhapsody displaying watches from d&g, ted baker and moschino... although there was a discount of up to 50%, these are brands that i'm couldnt afford out of the blue... as i was checking in on the event after lunch, i saw more watches were displayed... they took out the fcuk ranges then... my eyes immediately caught on a huge watch that i instantaneously knew will be a perfect fit for him... as i browsing through the ranges, i saw another one that i love so much...

temptations gave in... i called him up... see if he could buy it for me... not that i couldnt afford it myself, but i thought of surprising him with one too... reason: i couldnt afford both... although at 40%, both would cost me more than 500 bucks... i could only afford one... and i really wanted to surprise him with the huge watch... do the math... if i buy a watch for myself, i wont be able to get him one... and vice versa...

lo and behold... he told me he'd buy me a watch... my heart was singing away... in his mind, i was only buying ONE watch... in reality, i swiped my visa card for TWO watches... i knew he was eyeing a watch for some time... the padini watch i gave him for his birthday this year, was kinda spoilt... the glass cracked...

so anyway... just before he reached home after work that night, i left the box containing his new watch on the dining table... with the dining lights on (which is something i dont do... i always prefer to conserve energy... dont waste what i dont use...) and a note... then, i hid myself at the staircase, out of his sight... yup, to spy on him... as he was opening the box, what i saw made my heart skipped a beat... he started smiling, then grinned... and i could see he was trying so hard to control his emotions... and then, the tears of joy... ahhhh, priceless moment...

my new fcuk watch

his latest surprise from fcuk

most may ask why would i get something so expensive for him out of the blue??? without any reasons??? well, why would i need any reason to make him happy??? =)

I.M.U.S.T.N.O.T.G.I.V.E.U.P.

my heart is being tugged all over the place... all she had to do is to give me her big round googly eyes... think puss in boots, and you'll get starbucks being cute... giving me her pitiful look, melting my heart away... all to con her mommy to remove her e-collar... GOSH!!! help me... i dont think my heart will be able to withstand all her cuteness!!!

her allergy reaction came back... and she had scratched herself to couple of worrisome bald patches... to stop her from doing that, we had no choice but to put on the e-collar for her... my poor baby definitely did not like the piece of plastic collar on her... with the collar on, she turned on her extra "manja-ness" with me... refusing to leave my lap, giving me the lazy patrick toy dog "I.dieded" post... and at times, switching from that to impatience... in fact, for a few minutes earlier... i caught her losing her coolness and temper at her other two sisters...

to pacify the gal, we allowed her to sleep with us for the night... i was impressed with starbucks... well, apart from the occasional noise from her scratching the e-collar and trying to bite it off, she kept the room spotless from poop and pee... she held her bladder till morning before asking to be let out for her potty business...

really, i dont know how long i can keep up with her being like this... it breaks my heart seeing her at a discomfort... and she's breaking my resolution of keeping her safe from harm... arrrrghhhhhh~

Red Fetish, The Doggy Style...

red fetish

i mentioned in my earlier post about him getting me some awesome nike products as my anniversary present... it wasnt a surprise present, so to speak... i chose them myself... yup, you didnt read wrongly... and it wasnt a typo either... he got me not one, but two presents... but what came as a surprise was, he took the liberty to buy wrapping paper and wrapped them up... and it was done up pretty well... i must say, he came a long way from simple stuffing them into any piece of plastic bag (ok, so i probably exaggerated... but he used to be a lousy pressie wrapper)...

he tried so hard to hide it from me... well, again... i foiled his hiding pressie plan... oh well, how can anyone hide anything from the house "store keeper"???

anyway, i was on a red fetish spree when i picked my presents earlier in march... while we were in genting, then... i chose a very red backpack... and then he insisted that i should also get the pair of shoes that i was eyeing on... no guessing needed, i chose a striking pink shoes... and it was sOoOoOo adorable... IK said he could pick me out from the crowd, even from a far distance... and i liked that!!! subtle yet stood out from the ocean of people...

hear ye hear ye... doggy style rox!!!

nope, i'm not outta my mind... yet, for now... lol~

doggy style did rock... for starbucks, anyway... straighten up your mind... i'm talking about the pet magazine - doggy style magazine... why that name, you ask??? beats me... the first time i heard about it, i almost chocked on my own saliva... the editor and publisher must not have thought it through... either that, or it was done as a joke...

i submitted a photo of starbucks to their monthly cutest and funniest dog photos competition... it was sometime last month or so, i'd say... well, bucky's been lucky lately... she was picked as one of the winners... IF you ever buy the magazine, you'll prolly see them featuring her tummy... hahah~

went to pick up her prize finally... just as well that the pickup place is nearby office... i didnt have to go out of the way to get a cheap prize, and no extra traffic for me... ok, so why labeled as cheap??? first, it was just a bottle of shampoo... when i first got it, it said multi in one conditioning shampoo with pro vit and nano bubbles tec... then, when i picked it up, that label came off, displaying another label underneath... took the first layer out, and it said well guard all in one shampoo with multi herb essence... so which is what??? and what is which??? wrongly labeled??? recycled bottle??? regardless, it threw away any good first impression for this malaysian made pet shampoo...

Toasted, Baked, Burnt~

the last we had our religious desa park city visits was last year... before we moved to our new house... since then, noodles and starbucks had been grounded at their new home ground... well, not exactly grounded per se... before the arrival of moo-cow, noodles and starbucks had their almost daily walks around the housing area... sniffing at the tar road, barking at the cats, making new friends with unknown free roaming poodle...

then moo-cow joined the household... we had to quarantine her till her last vaccination... or more like both of us had our time stolen right from under our nose... although they didnt get to explore outside our house, they still had their fun time when mr guiness came visiting almost every sunday... the porch tuned into their playground... when weather became too hot, the living room was transformed into their merry-go-round...

couple of months ago, i submitted a photo of noodles and starbucks for probalance's valentine competition... it wasnt my intention to win... but more of a support to them, since their active cooperation to charity after my approach for their assistance... plus point, my babes love the food (it was unfortunate that starbucks had allergic reaction to their beef products - so now, chicken all the way)... and voila~ they had won the consolation prize... 50 bucks worth of probalance dog food...

fast forward to current timeline, i was informed to collect the prize at the doggywood event yesterday... frankly, i was excited for that event... firstly, it will be moo-cow's debutante event to the big, bad world out of the comfort of her home... previously, she had been a retard with leashes... refusing to walk, had to be dragged... so i'm really excited to expose her to the public to see how she would react... and to teach her how to socialize with the rest of the doggy world... and secondly, i'm really thrilled that i'm getting the prize... i was running out of chicken kibbles for the gals...

we got ready and by 2pm, we had buddled the mutts into the car... so off we go for a long ride to desa park city... pukey the dog came back visiting... sigh, and this time it was both noodles and moo-cow... and starbucks being starbucks, she decided to be the cleaning crew... urrrggghhhh~

as we reached there, we had to slowly coax moo-cow to walk with the leash... the first few minutes out of the car was a real retard moment... she went idolizing at the grass like she found gold... technically, it was her first time seeing, smelling and feeling grass... after awhile, she bucked up and did good... walking as we tucked her leash... i supposed, a couple more times and she'd be doing great!

reaching the event area, i registered for us and proceeded to collect our prize from probalance... *self reminder* dog food ARE heavy!!! one 3.5kg kibbles and four 700gm wet food... really, do not attempt a 6kg weight with a hyper dog next to you... as the weather was scorching hot, we decided to hide at the VID area and get some water for the dogs... supposedly an invitation only area with free flow of treats and water for the dogs... *eyes rolling* what treats??? what water??? there's only empty container without water... and chairs for the humans... luckily there was a fan running at the tent... just as we planted our butts and got comfortable with the cool artificial breeze, his number was called for a lucky draw... woot~ another 3kg of anf dog food for the babes...

with two heavy loads of dog food on hand and 3 monsters to handle, we decided to head back to the car for storage... as we got back to the event (after some lugging of dog and dog food to the car park), we were given two trial packs of home cooked treats for the dogs... ok, some consolation for the false advertisement of the event... unfortunately, two of my babes didnt like them... as minutes ticked by, the event was getting lame and boring...

we decided it was time to walk the dogs and hopefully can meet their old friends at their usual rendezvous... well, bruce and chester were there... too bad giant wasnt around with his goldens...

half hour after letting moo-cow got used to the field, i started unleashing starbucks... ahhh, my favorite gal... she just followed me everywhere and regardless how she ran off, she'd come back to where we sat... then i tried noodles... i was a bit wary of her... noodles had more tendency to run off with other dogs... but, she was all good... she ran around, enjoying the grass on her paws and the breeze in her face... my proudest moment was she came running back when called...

thereafter, i convinced myself that i should trust moo-cow... she took her time to enjoy her temporary freedom, showed some trust issues when strange dogs and humans approached to pat her... most of the time she was afraid, she came running back to us... but all in, she really made us proud... as mentioned earlier, a couple more times... and she'll be excelling in this...

results for the family outing:
  • three happy, docile monsters
apparently, they were so tired, they slept through the night and only woke up when he got up about 11-ish am...
  • burned human parents
both of us had heat retention, i was feeling cold as though i caught a fever last night... he, ko-ed and slept in two hours past his alarm time...
