The TWO Year Plan

the timing was perfect... it was to be dad's birthday over the weekend... and AL decided that he wanted to go home and strip his bike apart for his new project... so, while AL was busy with his stuff... i'd get to celebrate with dad his birthday... i dont think i've ever taken the initiative to go home for him... it was always mom and the rest of the family... not to say dad isnt of utmost important to me... but i was never really close to him...

but this year, things kinda changed... he seemed to have mellowed down a little on his macho-ness... he had been showing some emotions lately... and it was definitely nice to see that he appreciated the fact i took time off for him this time around... unfortunately, the book i got him for his birthday gift wasnt the right choice... or was it bull's eye, a lil too late in time??? the author was definitely his choice... though he had read the title previously... it's funny... the minute i took the book out for him... he showed me his latest book from the same author... =.=" he had to rub it in by saying,

"next time check the year it was published"

how thoughtful of him, huh??? lol~

mom was in a pretty good mood then... lesson learnt, if i want her to agree to my crazy ideas of my lifestyle :: just go home over the weekend to persuade her... she kinda said yes to most stuff... i tried throwing some crazy wedding ideas that both AL and i had been planning... i think, months back... she would adamantly disagree to no chinese culture for our wedding... this time around... she agreed to a simple tea ceremony couple of hours before the dinner... best part, with her agreeing to this... i'd get to sleep in for my own wedding...

trying not to get too excited, she might change her mind again... since we planned for this to happen only after 2 years... dont think we'd be able to juggle both a new house and a wedding dinner at the same time... oh, and another cost allocation for my cousin, TA's wedding in fiji, also another 2 years down the road... we'd been preempt, but it's so hard to contain this good news from the rest of the family... i sure hope to hear some awesome news from him coming March *crossing my fingers, TA better propose*... oh ya! i'm crossing my fingers not for doubting him... but knowing him, he'd most likely to discuss and agree with his partner rather than the old fashion proposal...

anyway, it's almost time for some shut eye now... i guess i'd be leaking some wedding info from time to time... AL and i are going to take our own sweet time to plan this out...
