having only managed slightly over 300 employees previously... the prospect of managing a count of more than 1200 employees scares me! being a nervous wreck the night before, worrying whether i'd be able to wake on time drove me to sleep pretty early last night... by 11.30pm on a sunday night was a record breaking feat... calculating of more than 6 hours of sleep, i went to bed happily knowing that i'd get almost enough rest and sleep...
unfortunately, the day's event on sunday woke me up groaning in the middle of the night with knifing pains driving through my stomach... we went on a spur of the moment road trip to genting after our mcD brunch... having reached there, we bought ourselves more food to stuff ourselves silly... the temple in genting was having the dumpling festival, selling dumplings and thai food at the same time... we bought both of that after only an hour and a half from brunch... 3 hours into some warehouse clearance sales in genting, we started our descent to william's for dinner... that was the killer of my stomach...
after some rounds of stomach pain in the middle of the night... i rushed out to the bathroom and swore to myself no more assam prawns for a long, long time... forcing myself back to sleep, i had only 2 more hours before my alarm rang... thinking i was ok to report to work, i got myself readied with more stomach issues and promises to ban assam prawns...
determined not to put a bad reputation for myself, i drove myself to work... reached the car park like, an hour earlier... killed some time listening to my phone and hanging in the car... by 7.45am, i got up and took the shuttle van to the office... unfortunately, when i got to the visitor registration counter... i was turned away for half an hour and denied entry to the office lobby... excuse given: "lobby will not be open until 8.30am"... worst part was there was no waiting area with seats...
while waiting standing up, my stomach suddenly acted up again and had a dizzy spell (dont worry, i'm feeling just fine now)... by the time my watch ticked to 8.30 am, i was finally ushered to the office lobby 10 floors up... first thing first, i needed the bathroom again... sigh... so much so for a good first day...
surprisingly, time still flew by even after finding out that facebook and all means of instant messaging are beyond my reach in the company... before i knew it, it was already 5.30pm and time to go home... and yes, for the first time i can proudly say that i missed my internet connection!!!
