this time, the holidays were spent solely with family members and close friends with plenty of food... we managed to squeeze some time to have christmas dinner with AY's second sis and her kids... all this, in between company functions and wedding dinner... got a taste of how tiring playing with a kid feels like... not to mention two kids then... that aside, this is also another good, down-to-earth steakhouse... it's not one of those fancy place... but the steaks ain't half bad... at least the chef managed to make the cow mooed when AY poked into his blue steak...
couple days later, we were lucky enough to be invited to a party hosted by Shin's uncle... yummy food from awesome caterer, good company and great fireworks display... and for the rare few times, AY won a lucky draw in the party... usually, he'd complain about not winning any prizes... XP change of luck??? woot woot!!!
just as i was thinking of eating less after the christmas cum new year food party, it was time to go home for cny... this time around, i'd managed to take a longer leave after so many years of skipping cny... a week and a half, thanks to my company's advance leave policy... i'm still reeling in post-holiday mood, at this point of time... we were supposed to go on a chilled, relax break in the penang heat... from no plans, our daily calendar were packed to the brim... almost everyday, i ended up snoring the minute my head hit the pillow... of course, with bucky accompanying me... and moo cow having the most enjoyable time in her life... for the first time, i actually saw her running with a smile plastered to her face... not leaving bucky out, she had some great times with my dad... going for walks in the public park unleashed, sleeping next to him and having my mom pat her... ahhhhh blisssssss
then my promise to myself again... must... eat... less... and guess what??? shin invited us to two back-to-back cny dinners hosted by his uncles over the weekend as we reach kl... dont get me wrong... there's no complaining over this... this is good stuff... again, with awesome food, acrobatic lion dance performance, gawking at luxury cars, crazy karaoke sessions, lovely firecrackers and fireworks!!! and more lou sang!!! can you imagine??? my strings of good food started before christmas and stretched on till a week after cny... my new jeans actually gone tighter... >.<
slowly, day after day i cut back my food intake to my usual daily routine before christmas... i was on track with my plans... however, AY pulled the handbrake just days ago... i was to accompany him to his post-cny cum networking dinner session hosted by his vendor... the food was fantastic... for someone like AY whom usually complains about chinese banquet dinners, he almost ignored me the whole night and stuffed his face silly with the really great roasted duck... and just months apart, he won himself another lucky draw... this time a stack of shopping vouchers... great!!! now i can go shopping!!! XP
