finally, 2011 marks the first year of an actual celebrated valentine's day and his birthday... just as we got back together some two years back, he couldnt shake his ex off his back to celebrate with me... and the year before, valentine's day was the first day of cny... responsibilities called on us, and celebration was definitely out of the question then... both of us had to go back to our separate families for the annual morning reunion... and the most unfortunate news was he had to travel back to kl alone for work the next day... on his birthday... i tried to replace the celebration-less days with a string of prezzies to cheer him up...
fortunately this year, we managed to find time to sit down and have lovely dinners together... trying to avoid the crowd of the over publicized valentine's day, i decided to take him somewhere nice on the eve instead... having budget constrain (from the CNY long break and forking a huge sum for his new head unit as an early vday cum bday present earlier) didnt help the situation too... as i was surfing around, i found this nice recommended place for a reasonably priced porky food... i'd meant to try this place since before i left sunway group, but never really had the chance... so now, this is a great excuse to explore... and he loves porkies... the restaurant looks homey yet elegant at the same time... and the service was superb... that was our conclusion even before we place our food orders... what can i say... belly good didnt disappoint us... the food's great!!! yummy-licious!!! a must have in the future...
valentine's day was a working day for me... not for him though... he was on long, really really really long break this time around... rushing for his bike and stuff, that's another story for another time... i doubt i'll pen it here anytime soon... BUT, two place you can check it out... his personal blog and his mad chop shop... anyway... he decided to be a dear and woke up early with me and send me to the lrt station for work... curious, but grateful... so i left the question hanging... but there was a nagging feeling he was gonna be cooking tom yam infused food (he was asking for recipe during our belly good session, and i got a peep of him reading on a stranger blogging about steamboat)... hmmm...
cutting the story short, he was caught red handed for marketing after letting me off at the station... lol~ and me being me, i unintentionally killed his element of surprise by taking half day off... i ended up helping him for our home cooked tom yam steamboat for a quiet and private valentine's day celebration... and really, nothing is more perfect than that day... other than the occasional spill of the red soup on our white wall...
just as i thought that's the end of the celebration and surprises... he brought home an orange foam rose for me last night... the cheeky fella... XP and tonight, i'm not sure if it was done intentionally to coincide with chap goh meh... but i came home to another sweet gesture... he left a pink foam rose on the keyboard...
