the weekend didnt start off that well for me... i was pretty tired from a whole week worth’s of work, and obviously not in my best of mood... enduring a freaking 2 hours traffic jam from office to home on friday didnt help start the weekend off... things settled down a little as the hours ticked by... not wanting to spoil his night off, i agreed to go along to his tt session... almost accompanying him, i'd say... decided to bring my work along, as i wasnt in the mood to entertain the gang's wives... and, as expected... his promise to keep the tt short, would usually end up with us reaching home past 2 am... not that i'm complaining, i'm just glad he enjoyed himself... by injecting poison into his own bloodstream, i supposed... lol~
sat morn
with his self injected poison running in his bloodstream, he woke up to be quite grumpy... ahhh... took quite a chunk of our morning off, trying to shake it out of our system... by then, it was almost lunch... there went my mcd breakfast plan...
sat BRUNCH???
what was supposed to be a brunch seemed to end up being late breakfast... he suggested yummy paus... unfortunately, not only was it expensive... the quality deteriorated so much... 4 paus and 1 lo mai kai for 10 bux... sounds like what my prawn noodles would cost...
sat afternoon
took a ride to a shop slightly further up from mines... his car service was long overdue, and he wanted to get second opinion from a mechanic who called himself the maddriver... i was expecting to be sitting at a corner minding my own business for hours... on a twist of event, i found myself enjoying fried yong tau fu with his friend and the mech, blink of an eye speed oil change, and more tea breaks with the two of them... that was when i remembered, the differences between his bike gang and his car gang...
sat night
the usual what to eat tonight routine... i was flipping from pizza to japanese to korean to steamboat to bbq and everywhere else... the word bbq and steamboat made his mouth water... and the first thing that crossed his mind was bbq steamboat buffet, liked those in sunway... as i was surfing for more food recommendations, the line korean bbq screamed out at him... he went, pointing to it...
in his mind, it was supposed to be a buffet dinner... in my mind, i was hoping it wont blow my budget... while driving, we were impressed with the choices of korean restaurant in ampang... more than half of the population in that commercial area was filled up by korean related business... we decided on bee won, or more like i decided on bee won...
the food was superb... the banchan was good... with the various choices, he went back to his norm order... bulgolgi... i got myself one of the kimchi soup and bbq pork to share... ahhh, here comes the amazing part fo the story... i showed him how to eat the bbq pork; the meat with raw sliced garlic, preserved chili and some sauce wrapped in raw greens... he was skeptical at first... and then, miracle happened... he requested for a refill of the green leaves, and agreed to come back for more... GREENS and MORE!!! that's a miracle for me... alex 0 me 1
my evidence!!!
sun afternoon
yup, i skipped the whole morning, as we slept in till pretty late... woke up just in time to get ourselves some lunch and a preview of the inking guys... let's just say, he was given the opportunity to get his whole left arm tatt at a cheaper price... and to be done up with pretty decent and clean equipments too...
sun evening
trying to maintain our schedule, pukey the dog was brought to desa park city... instead of only walking her, we managed to find her some big boys to hang around with... after much persuasion from her new friends' owners, we took off her leash... she seemed very happy to enjoy her new found freedom... roaming and running around without being tied up... and get a taste of socializing with the big guns too... and also her first experience on the grass...
oh well... pukey loves green grass, alex loves raw leaves... haha! speaking of hereditary...
