my initial plan was to just chill in kl, while most were out of the town for the election weekend... i lost the battle of spending traffic-free kl to my conscience... with the last minute offer by my cuz, i packed my bags and shared the back seat of a kenari with two large sized dogs... one who stared out the window for most part for the journey... while the other spent her time cuddling with me, covering me with her fur from head to toes... i stepped out of the car, looking like a very skinny furry teddy bear...
what was more important was that i get to spend some time with my aunt and uncle, who rarely fly back from aussie... unfortunately, it was a give and take thingy... while i get to spend some quality time with the elder leng tims, i missed out my opportunity to meet up with the younger tim and his newly wedded wife in kl... i was hoping against all odds to be able to do both... unfortunately, time was against me... it was almost two decades ago, that i got to see the younger tim... and now i missed out my chance...
* too bad dad wasnt in the picture... he was busy being the photographer...
one weekend ticked off... week two was spent at a close friend's wedding in penang... a wedding with really great tunes from jazz hats... and acting like a tourist around town with DL and ES... spending the first day of the weekend taking a bus ride around town... and a shopping spree to overhaul AL's wardrobe for his formal working clothes (the need arises, now that he had an offer into managerial role - a story for another time)... all these were done with eyes half open, dragging our tired bodies around after an extremely early morning to catch a flight up to the island... and not forgetting AL skillfully stuffing himself silly at the wedding dinner...
upon checking out of eastin the next day, it was fun moments to go onto tourist mode... driving around taking shots of errrr, everything and doubling our waistline... all thanks to DL and ES... i think it's something we should do more often... pfftttt if only i can find more time, juggling with life in kl, work, travelling to other places, and the list just goes on and on and on and on.............................
week three was a real dumb moment... initially i wanted to book a flight back to penang for the election weekend... being a dimwit, instead of selecting the right dates, i double-booked my tickets for week two... leaving me with no other choices, i had to swap dates (with penalty per way!!!!)... and decided on week three... although crazy tiring, it was just the right choice... mom and dad will be having their off day for the wesak day... and i didnt have to take extra days off from my already limited annual leave supply (no thanks to the company's earn as you work policy)...
spending the weekend catching up on much needed rest and sleep, mom was just plain ecstatic that i'm physically back in penang with her... oh well, i supposed she just misses me... now that she's working 6-days week, i think i can empathize with that... with less time to come down to kl, any additional minutes with her would still be a great opportunity...
now, looking at the time (it's 12.30am now, and i've an 8.30am meeting tomorrow)... i think i shall catch up with blogger another time... hopefully, soon enough for me to pen down all the running thoughts in my mind... things that i would wanna remember in the future, when i read back about my life... ciao~
