Three & Counting

presents, cards... that was my usual surprises for him... i had wanted to do something different this year...my first idea was a weekend getaway... anywhere... just the two of us... without a care, without any responsibilities (by that, i meant the furry family members)... and so i started planning... but it doesnt feel complete... fun and simple... yet forgettable... cracking my tiny brain a little, it hit me that the colleague sitting next to me sculpt balloons... so, helium balloon it is!!! yesh~

the day before the weekend getaway, i braved through a horrid jam to my colleague's place... got my hands on a 40" floating balloon, but it felt a bit empty... so we had additional six helium balloons to accompany the 40"... taking in some suggestion, i rushed back home thereafter, i tied tiny messages at the end of the string for the accompanying balloons... improvising a little, i also tied some of his favourite white choco toblerone... with all this prepped up, i barely managed to plant the balloons in our room before i hear his bike rolled into the porch...

it was really priceless to see the way his eyes went round seeing the 40" floating mouse saying "i love you thiiiiis much"... and slowly turning the messages around to read them... and oh yeah, not forgetting his munching mouth nomming the chocolate away (in the middle of the night... so there goes the no supper stand...)

on the day of the getaway, we got up in time to get ready and sent fuji for boarding... the rest of my poor gals and boy were all stuck at home with plenty of water and food... too much food, i think... i came back to an extremely fat female kitten (who looked like she was pregnant... coming to two weeks, and she's still obese)...

anyway, my first plan was to drive into town for an all porky brunch... serious pork business; pork chop (looked like hainanese style), roasted pork (with plenty of stuffing) and roti babi... all this, finally at a place i had wanted to bring him all this while... the famous yut kee... i must say, it was a really lovely meal...

atmosphere of the getaway picked up when i checked us in to impiana klcc... it was a lovely hotel, with nice facilities... an infinity pool, great gym... great room setup, all in with a working table, bathtub and all... i wasnt sure how my actual reserved room looked like, cos i got ourselves an upgrade to deluxe superior king room...

purposely choosing a hotel nearer to town, we could just park our car at the car park and explore the place... first stop, klcc... chilling, walking, talking... dating aimlessly... with no real intention to shop, we grabbed auntie anne's and picnic by the klcc park... enjoying the breeze and in each other's company, without a care of the time of schedule... something that we had not done for some time... and not forgetting dropping by the convention centre for a stroll against the wave of people at the pc fair...

my initial plan was a buffet dinner to celebrate the anniversary... with pretzel still swimming in my tummy, we decided to just walk to starhill for some steak... jake's charbroil steakhouse... good choice!!! the steak passed his strict evaluation... thumbs up was given, and one of the few places that got into his list... well, that was only the main course... for dessert, we backtracked to where we started, back to klcc... and got in time to purchase the last order of cream and fudge factory's signature flavors... chocolate and peanut butter... when combined, i thought it tasted like reese's... he said, it's not quite there... oh well, who am i to comment??? he's the expert in reese's... lol~
