Unending Farewells

i've always preferred the small, cramped up level 3 office... the interactions with the rest of the staff and drop by hi(s)... unfortunately, the department has grown so much, that bigger office space is needed... by the end of last year, the 10 of us moved up to level 5... just as the christmas mood kicked in... whoa! all the packing and christmas party planning that time... it was chaos... fast forward, our masquerade christmas party was a blast...

months later at the new cube @ level 5 and things started to shake... guessed the feng shui aint that great up here... colleagues whom were way up at the top of the ladder started leaving... then, one news after another... one left to train freelance, one left to another developer (one she's been eyeing for the longest time since i remember), one left to a call centre to avoid the rumors, gossips and to come out from all the hidings, one left to persue her dreams of being a teacher...

and then there's one who didnt leave but choose to be transfered to china... and his farewell was a month long... lol XP with the very last one, karaoke-ing... that was when it hit me... i've just started to hang with them, and them warming up to me... and probably mine will be soon... all the craziness, the fun, the stupidity... i'm gonna miss all that and the peeps... ohhh, not to mention the perks of testing the latest softwares and hardwares... wow~ and the amount of ocbc(s) that i hang with here... that'll take time to get back... and and and...

whoa! hold on a sec... it shouldnt be that bad... and it should be at the same time... what a balance to hang on... excited and sad... and it didnt make any sense when this first sank in... it was like i'm so comfortable now and at the same time i know it's time to get up... it was a tough call for me... was, and now i know it's the right thing to do... and i know he's right, too...

people come and go... the true ones will always stick around...

and that'll probably be my own advice to my friends...
