The Kitty That Snowball-ed My Heart Away

leave for fri was approved today... woohoo!!! not too sure why i was happy though... not that i took my so, limited days off to rest or for my own purposes... ahhh, but it was for a good cause... the lady boss from MDDB volunteered myers to set up a booth in taylor's college's fund raising fair... and so, alex and i thought we should help him out... hence, the day off cum time spent together with hubby leave...

since it was those few last days alex will be on morning shift, i decided to try and finish up my work for the weekend and leave for home on time... as usual, that didnt happen... piled up work require me to drag on after working hours... by the time i packed up, it was at the peak of the rush hour... not to mentioned the football game between malaysia and singapore on the same night... definitely didnt help with the jam... urrrgghhhh...

as i reached home, we swapped places and he drove me out for dinner... as i was busy sulking over his bad mood (no thanks to noodles and starbucks for their poo party at home), i saw this cute tiny kitty walked past us... we were seated and halfway through our dinner at the food court when i pointed out to him at this skinny, dirty, googly-eyed kitty... she was shivering by the road side... probably from the cold, hunger and being afraid of passing cars and humans...

such a pitiful sight... after much persuasion and making funny weird meowing sounds, i managed to grab the kitty from the drain... i could feel the ribs sticking out of her tiny body... as we took her home, we could only hope that the two doggies can accept her... unfortunately, noodles decided to be a chicken... by the time we got the kitty settled in the crate, noodles was howling away in fear of the unknown hissing animal... *eyes rolling* the unknown was barely half her size... starbucks, on the other hand... was pretty quiet... though she glued herself to me... also afraid of a tiny kitty... sigh, what dogs did we adopt...

woke up to a rainy morning... and i jumped out of bed, remembering the kitty was out at the balcony without any cloth... crap!!! too busy to stop noodles from howling to remember to keep small kitty warm... quickly got the kitty into the small room and gave a huge cloth to keep herself warm... ahhh, and the morning scent of the smelly and grime filled kitty made noodles howl again...

rushed out to meet myers and met with super heavy traffic from multiple accidents... darn, as though we were not late enough... after breakfast with myers and picking up colin's vege pup, we rushed to pick up more smelly doggies for taylor's event... as expected, we were extremely late for the fair... oh well...

by the time we were done with the event, it was already almost dinner time... rushed back to myer's house for a committee meeting of a major adoption drive in october... while we were at it, we ordered a 10 pax meal set from dominos... guess what??? it only took 4 hungry person to finish the food... lol~ 5 regulars, chicken wing, chicken crunchies and twisty bread... gosh...

by the time we got home, it was almost midnight... and we still got a kitty to take care of... quickly grab tiny kitty, and off we went to shane's house... while they boys chat about, i tried to get kitty to feel comfortable... was worried sick, she hadnt eaten the whole day... she wont even eat when we tried to feed her... as she warmed up to us, she laid down on my lap while i sleep on the chair... and that was when alex and shane told me... kitty had been named, snowball... cute~

going with our initial plan to spend some time with noodles and starbucks, we took them out to desa park city... unfortunately, we reached just as giant and his wife took off home with their goldens... noodles gave me quite a run... we took off their leash to test their obedience... starbucks always ran back to me when called upon... such a good girl... noodles, however, is another story... she got me chasing after her... made me run around while she chased after poor birds... oh, and poor breathless me... while alex just sat there and laughed at both of us...

highlight of the day... starbucks lightly bit a girl's nose for poking and disturbing her too much... lol~ both babes really made us proud... noodles didnt puke the whole journey... and starbucks managed to hold her bladder... no more peeing in my car... yay!!!

pestered alex to give shane a call... was pretty anxious how snowball was doing... went visiting the big guy and his new kitty... apparently, snowball had yet to shower from the day we brought her back... good news, she's settled down a little and familiarized with her new environment... already started eating and knew instantly how to use the litter box... bad news, she smelled very bad...

all of us - shane, his mom, his sister and i - persuaded alex to bath snowball... he gave in and off the two guys went into the bathroom with a tiny kitten in their hands... prepping for the worst... lol~ it was a really funny picture... our comedy of the day... snowball sulked a little with alex for putting her through the water torture... but cuddled up nicely with shane...

after some time and gotten herself dried and puffy... she strutted off with her playful nature... chasing ribbons... cuddling up with us... purring while we rub her back and under her chin... she's such a cutie... cant wait to see her again this weekend...
