big bad wolf book sale
this is like the major event any bookworm ever look forward to... screw popular, mph and times clearance / warehouse sale... nothing beats the prices big bad wolf offers... with the usual over the weekend book sale over the last couple of years... big bad wolf brought it up to a totally different level... extended over 3 weeks, they even introduced 24 hour opening time over the last two weekends now...
being overly excited, i couldnt help but joined the huge crowd at the stroke of midnight on their first 63 hours nonstop opening hours... walking in to the hall, i knew i'd be dead beat by the time i finished browsing through every nook and corner... the hall was gigantic... the amount of books were spine chilling and exciting... by the time we were done, it was time for dim sum breakfast in sri petaling...
new phone toy
with my old nokia phone dying... and the fact that most websites had been banned by my new company... it sorta pushed me to get my long awaited new phone... he had wanted to get me this for my birthday in october... but there wasnt any pressing need for me to change my still surviving phone at that time... i had dragged on for so long, and now... it is TIME (after a couple of hours of sleep from the book sale)!!!
the initial plan was to get a note I, so that i wont have to spend so much cash in getting the accessories... *he had like 6 different casings to choose from... and i can just steal one from him* walking in to the samsung boutique at the new wing of sunway pyramid, i was told that the price was 1999... and that was crazy price! before leaving kpmg, i had a chat with one of the samsung's main distributor... and was definitely informed that the price had dropped... so, we walked over to harvey norman... true enough, the price of note I was lesser, at 1799... and the price quoted by the boutique would have gotten me an s3 in harvey norman... which is what we did... and the phone even comes with freebies - car charger, memory card and a bluetooth headset...
some minor ranting a lil... thereafter the purchase, we were walking around the mall finding for the micro sim adapter... that brought us to the old wing... and that was when we found out there was another samsung boutique... weird thing is, the price for the note I was cheaper than quoted by the new wing boutique... and i had actually thought that prices in all samsung boutique are controlled byt the brand name itself...
anyway, after the phone... what was left was to register myself for a yes huddle 24 month package... screw maxis, i'd rather pay lesser for unlimited connectivity... and now, i'm a walking wifi hotspot!!! *grin*
thirst
mixing up his yearning for artistry to thirst even... *rolling eyes for the stupidity* i managed to get ourselves free passes to the event... yeah, so we both dont drink beer... and any other f&b cost a BOMB!!! but it's free passes to enjoy good mixes by great djs... or so we told ourselves... well, there were few great djs here and there... but there were also a couple of not so great ones... too bad the place was super stuffy, hot and humid... otherwise we would have enjoyed more...
his new toy
on they same day of artcore and cafe racer's grand opening on the eel man's version of auspicious 12.12.12, we picked up his new toy... the great pestilence... there really isnt much for me to describe... i'll let the photo speaks for itself...
