A New Change

it had been over a month now since i started at my new workplace... thinking about it, it is in fact close to my second month mark... beginning my career at a place where hr played an important role in the business had not made it easy for me to adapt to lesser situations... my second job, was a tough adaptation... nonetheless, things had improved tremendously since the last i had my hands in the environment... and now....... i can see that the minute i reported to work, it will be another cultural shock for me... as a matter of fact, it's still pretty hard for me to accept things as it is... learning curve and being thrown to the big end, i think it's a couple steps upwards... but in terms of environment and company progress, it actually felt like MAJOR steps backwards... okok~ thinking positively, i sure hope i will be able to pull through...

other than the culture, i sure have good things to say about my colleagues... they had been pretty helpful and sorta fun in some ways... if it aint for the culture bit, i think i finally feel like i belong here with some of the right people... to some extent, i didnt feel alienated as much as i did previously... there's only two ways about this... either, i actually found people that i can really click with... or that i had started to conform to the norm *horror*...

and year end being year-end... i went in at the right time for food galore... within two weeks, i'm already at two company dinner functions...

and a taste of what working from out of office really felt like... given the flexibility to work from a venue of my choice, i was given free rein for a day to be discipline and actually work without being present at work... and still get paid for it... nice experience, although a reminder to self... find a cheaper spot to work; and MUST come with free wifi...

oh well, for now... all i can do is wish myself best of luck to pull through my change rejection cycle...
