it didnt help that we had recently took in fuji and tiny char... with fuji having the need for a vet follow up, we had been frequenting the vet once every two weeks... although she has thrived against her skin condition now, my calendar still shows vet appointments once every two weeks until the month of june... gosh~ if it's not quarterly deworming schedule, it's will be one or two of their vaccination due dates...
and recently he decided to get a r&d done up for his prototype... so the last few weeks had been spending time at the engineering office; discussing, scribbling, debating on the designs and reverse engineering... it would have been a fun time, if the weather had not been so brutally hot on my skin... for someone who doesnt sweat as much, i retain heat more... making me lethargic and slow and grumpy... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr arrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhhhhhhhh (hmmm, that sounded more like a pirate than grumpy...) oh well~
getting sick of all the chores, we decided to ditch all plans and just go with the flow yesterday... spending one and a half hours waiting for my cousins (hell, yeah... super great time management from them... and a great long time sitting next to an angry man who hates waiting...) *eyes rolling* again, i gave in... this time, simply cos one of them just touched down kl from melbourne... and since i've not seen her for so long, i guess a little leeway wouldnt kill...
but really, it wasnt all bad just waiting... minus the scorching heat, we found a great place selling yummy kai wo pau and siu mai... a tad expensive, but it was worth the bite... knowing ice will reduce his edginess, we sat down in some old school home-porch-style ice kacang stall... for me, waiting for the slow pokes did pay off... the chicken rice they made us waited for, was just something i'd missed for a long long time... something i have not had for quite a while...
funnily, he agreed to go shopping with them after the fulfilling lunch... free from the dogs for the day, we were greeted with more food, dessert and gi joe 3D style... but it wasnt what we had done yesterday that should matters... it gotta be who we were spending with... some time together, alone, without the household zoo... and taking the initiative to spend some time with family... ahhhhh~
a little gift of speckled eggs flown in from melbourne... they were more crispy eggs and reese's... unfortunately, they were all half melted and camera shy~
a very lovely and thoughtful gift from koh lipe...
